MindShift

I have eleven tabs open in my browser right now (don’t recommend it) and I realized three of those tabs belong to the same website, MindShift, so it’s time to write about it. The site describes itself this way, “Technology is revolutionizing the world of education – replacing familiar classroom tools and changing the way we learn. MindShift explores the future of learning in all its dimensions – covering cultural and technology trends, groundbreaking research, education policy and more.” The site is well-organized; categories include culture, teaching with tech, trends in learning, and classroom strategies. Of particular interest to me this week were posts on
Dan Pink: How Teachers Can Sell Love of Learning to Students (this offers a look at Pink’s new book To Sell is Human)
Make Math Meaningful with Online Games and Videos
How Can Teachers Prepare Kids for a Connected World?
Though I just recently became aware of the site, it has been around since August 2010 and has a wealth of searchable information. This could be a good resource for some of the PLC’s.
